Prj 2022 – The locked people project

The most complex project I'm currently working on, preliminarily called The locked people project, will, I hope, take the form of an Escape Room game, combining the real and digital worlds.

In this game you will take part in a fictional story, as a character who has some blocked memories. In other words, he can't remember some things from his past. The blocked memories are represented by the four images. Shooting your phone at them will bring up virtual representations of them. All four heads are interactive.

The aim of the game is for the player to see some living memories, which will help them find clues to unlock forgotten memories. All against the clock.

Another defining element of the game is the portal to the character's living memories. As these are in greater numbers, the player will use the time console to choose which memory to see in the portal. The time console is the clockwork drawing. By shooting the phone towards it, the augmented 3d model will allow the player to switch between memories by tapping buttons.

The portal we were talking about will work similarly to the one in the virtual gallery project. I wrote about that project here: [link]. The difference will be that you will be able to access different places in the portal using the buttons on the time console.

Another element of the game will be the timer. By shooting to that image, the player will see how much time they have left to access their blocked memories.

The last element is the game map. Shooting towards it, the player will see a hologram of the city where all the action takes place, as well as helpful hints.

More details on this project will come as they make notable progress. All the mechanics described so far, and others, have already been programmed and are working.
